- Panga (small speed boat) is the main transportation in the Caribbean Coast of Nicaragua to go from one community/town to another. When you're on the panga ride (that can take from 30 min to 5 hours depending on where you're going) and it starts pouring rain, they will pull out a massive tarp that covers the entire boat to keep all passenger relatively dry.
